Design Coursework
Type & Image
< Change. Limited to one typeface and minimal colors, we were asked to communicate the impact of a political statement. I chose to employ the classic Helvetica Neue. Featuring Barack Obama's own words, change itself is demonstrated subtely through the differences in verb tense. Each iteration of the quote is grows lighter as it progresses closer and closer to present tense. I picked saturated colors to contrast the "Change" on the poster. Once drawn in, the viewer would reflect upon the message.
< Type Studies.
Prior to designing the type poster, we analyzed the nuances of different typesfaces. This formal studied was done with tracing paper and Copic liners.
