Indie Games
Individual & Team Deving
A Brief Intro. Growing up, I've always prided myself as a girl who could game. But since CMU, I've had less time to play, thus relinquishing my surprisingly decent gaming abilities. Fortunately, I've since traded that in for game design chops. I've been making indie games since fall '07 with GCS as well as solo.
Raincat { Visit Website } I created concept art, sprites, and levels for this game. I also made a website promoting Raincat which reached international audiences. We were awarded Game Creation Gold for best in club game developed that year. Raincat is featured in repositories including Ubuntu, Archlinux, and Softpedia for its use of functional language, Haskell.
Mochicat { Visit Website } Mochicat is a collection of yummy 2D pixel games. Each game features progressional levels: Work your way through them and be rewarded with richer graphics and music. My personal contributions include all of the concept and in-game art (minus the main character's animations). During this project, I wanted to practice using pixel art.
Hobocat { Visit Website } As co-project leader, I helped manage the artists and level designers on the team. As lead artist, I created the concept art (visit the website for more art) as well as illustrated a large portion of the in-game art. This game hopes to blend elements of action and puzzle games into a one stop experience being a nomad cat.
Vignettes in Flash.
These two games were created solo in short development periods (~2 weeks).
Geekbear { Play Game }
This is a tamagotchi. The concept is fairly simple: exemplifying the moods of a geek through interactions involving his computer. Given four simple actions, the player tries to get the bear away from his computer and more socialable.
Pink { Play Game }
We were all assigned a random color, and had a create a game thematically related to that color. Plus, the game needed to end in 5 seconds.

Index of Team Games. These are all the games I created with a team through Game Creation Society. My contributions for each game varies, but mostly include concept, sprite, environment, and UI art. I also served as co-project leader on Hobocat.
