Scope it Out! { Launch Game }
I started working closely with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and Educational Public Outreach team once commissioned to illustrate vector art for a flash game. The game, Scope it Out!, is an educational game which has been traveling with the Hubble Space Telescope Exhibit as well as featured on Wired's GeekDad. This work later translated into an opportunity to intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. That summer, I served as the design intern on the Astrophysics Division. There, I aided in revamping the print materials and website for the Webb telescope.
JWST Print Materials. I evaluated a variety of materials, both print and digital, during my summer. There, I learned to interact and negotiate with co-workers in a large organization. I also became familiar with the nuances of a hierarchal management system. My design for the newest poster, bookmark, and folder have been printed and distrubted to educators and scientists.
