Bookbook. { Download Final .pdf Report }
A semester long group project which allowed us to use HCI methods in practice. Bookbook is a system which aids book collectors on their journey to not only keep track of their books, but document their experiences and relationships between books. In addition to collaborative efforts, my contributions included all the visual design and a portion of the wireframes.
Some mock-ups of our final design below, however, I encourage you to look through our final report to get the full picture.

Graph Africa { Launch Site } A research project focused on developing a visual tool for those studying Africa. Through student interviews, we found it was tough to look at raw statistics across several sites and get a gauge of what was going on in this developing continent. This project takes that information, and presents it in a visual way. Result: a prototype functional for classroom use and a study for future tools.
PATS. Pittsburgh Animal Treatment Services is a demonstration Ruby on Rails application. I was commissioned to do a visual redesign. I thought the tone of a vet site should be light-hearted, so I chose to use pastel colors as well as cute filler pictures. The application is available on github.

Travelogues { Launch Site } This photoblog concept features sketchy art and Flickr integration. Each marker brings up photos tagged by that location. Made in total of 20 minutes! This won the Hackiest Hack category winner in Yahoo!'s 2008 Hack Day, appropriately.
Yahoo! Groups Redesign. While applying for internships, I took the initiatve of doing some extra work. I conducted a quick-and-dirty heuristic evaluation and redesigned the groups homepage.
